Hey everyone! I hope everybody had a super fantastic Valentine's Day yesterday! I just wanted to stop by to let you know to check out Crayons and Composition Books on FACEBOOK for my first ever WORKSHEET that I made for my first graders to use on Monday! Hope you all enjoy it and see you guys later!! :)
It's "snow" fair! They've called off school for the entire week! But I won't let that get me down. Valentine's day has officially been moved to Monday! :D I'm going to post a sneak peak below and make sure you come back Friday to see a second sneak peak at what will be happening in this first grade classroom on Monday. Thanks guys, stay warm and have fun in this wintry weather!

Hi there! Wow, today has been a super long day! I just hopped on to make a quick post before I called it a night. Our weather in SC has been quite a roller coaster ride. Two weeks ago schools were closed for 3 days due to snow, and this week our schools have been closed since Tuesday. But unpredictable weather aside, I am still hopeful that kids will be back to school on Friday for Valentine's day! I spent most of my snow day today between teacherspayteachers and Pinterest looking for some great activities for my first graders. I found some great things and I look forward to sharing them with you all, so make sure you check back in to see the great teacher products and activities! I'm signing off to get some sleep. Thanks for stopping by! :)
Be sure to Follow CrayonsandCompositionBooks on Pinterest and stay up to date on Facebook!
Well, today is the day I should be getting my new blog design! I am so excited! If you are looking for a cute and basically awesome blog design, or even just some add-ons, make sure you check out CreationsbyJLynn on Etsy! She is super helpful, quick to respond and makes sure she gets all of what you want on your page! Plus, she sells OOAK(One Of A Kind) license's for her blog designs so you won't find duplicates out on the web! Super excited she is designing my blog and I can't wait for it to be up and running, and looking fabulous! You guys have a super fun and safe Tuesday! (It's snowing here in SC! ^_^)

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts, I have ordered a blog template and am awaiting its delivery to my inbox! Haha! So, hopefully I will get this thing going by the end of today! Hope you all have a FANTASTIC Monday!
And for those of you that are like us, waiting on the impending snow-meggedon- Be safe and enjoy the time off! ;)
See you guys later!
I've been wanting to do this for a while now, and just got around to it! January flew by in a flash. I can't believe its already February! Well, anyway, this is my first blog. I am brand new at this, so it will take me some time to get used to how everything works...
Let me start by introducing my self! I'm Kelsey, known as Mrs. Kelsey by my kids (students). I am a first grade teacher at an afterschool children's center. I only started at the children's center in October as a first time teacher with big plans for helping these kids learn and grow in the best and most comfortable way! Before teaching, I was a therapist for children with Autism. Working as a therapist sparked the beginning of a great passion for working with children! Now, back to the present, I have been working hard to get my first grade classroom up to par. I have been ALL OVER pinterest, teacher blogs and teacherspayteachers to get the best of the best for my kids! We have grown so much as a class over the last few months! It's been a great experience so far and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us! Well, I'm going to cut this short for now so I can get some planning done for this week, but I will be on again later tonight. (Hopefully figuring out how to set up my page and get everything situated the way I would like it to be!)
Everyone have a great Monday!
Kelsey :)
